Giorgio Filomeno, 1976 – Florianópolis – Brazil

I was a very naughty kid; curly hair, freckled nose, scabbed knees, broken this and that and a lot of stitches scattered around my body.
The kind of rascal who would disassemble (and not always reassemble) whatever things I thought were interesting.
In love with tools and amazed by the wonders of nature and technology, my taste for life laid somewhere in between phone wires, gun powder, living geckos, electric engines, magnets, ants, any flying or sticky thing or able to crawl up and down the walls or windows, gooey goo and glue, paint, slingshot, blowguns and similar projectile launchers, traps, trails, trees, holes, caverns, camping and adventures.
I collected beetles, coins, postage stamps, money bills, stickers, stones, all kinds of paper, bottle caps, boxes, knick-knacks of all kinds and shapes.
As the years went by and my attention turned to the different kinds of art forms. The experiments of decades were transformed into intricate projects and inventions.
The collections became disperse, more and more after each moving and each new house, getting lost into the scarce closet spaces.
With time my attention turned to design, where I worked as a consultant, designing industry equipment and products.
I can see, on each and every project, a little bit of that freckled rascal.
I am a collector, and my collections are diverse.
I own many boxes.
I hunt technological innovations and ‘useless’ inventions.
And I still, till this day, disassemble things

My Professional Approach

I have learned that to be a good professional, besides the fascination for what you do, you need a robust work ethic, teamwork capabilities, resourcefulness, out of the box thinking to solve problems and the will to go that extra mile to achieve goals.
My extensive background in the various industries and the ability to merge all the knowledge I gained throughout these experiences made me thrive in the demanding film industry in Brazil where I provided my services for a variety of clients as a Construction Coordinator, in which my expertise was used to interpret and solidify projects from their abstract conceptual form until conclusion
With strong managerial skills, I have always been able to lead multiple sectors and crews, manage logistics and make decisions in order to deliver every project as planned, respecting not only the primary concept of the project as well as the budget and deadline.
Always remaining up to date on art trends and technical tools, with innate passion for materials and technologies, I am constantly looking for new things which I can use to fuel creativity and originality.
